Bank of America sponsors racist group

July 9, 2006

Hello Bank of America,

I just recently became a customer of yours.  I left Wells Fargo because they give home loans to illegal immigrants.  I chose BoA specifically because you do not pursue the business of illegal immigrants.

I believe that our immigration laws should be enforced and that racist groups have no place in the USA.  Therefore I was disappointed to see that BoA is sponsoring a La Raza conference.

La Raza is an explicitly racist organization.  What do you think "La Raza" means?  No one would tolerate a European group that called itself "The Race" and rightly so.  Further, the slogan of La Raza's partner group MEChA is "For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada" which basically means "For the Latino race, everything. For everyone else, nothing."  They are not subtle.  I am sure that upon consideration of these facts, BoA would not want to be associated with La Raza, much less support them.

This incident is not enough to cause me to leave BoA, but be aware that I am watching your policies with regard to illegal immigrants and racist groups.

Sincerely,
Thresher

I left Bank of America when they started giving credit cards to illegal aliens.

Update:  Bank of America opens accounts for illegal aliens:  Although BoA does not grant home mortgages to illegal immigrants, it does open deposit accounts for them.  More specifically, BoA accepts ITINs to open interest-bearing deposit accounts.  ITINs are IRS identification numbers for people who are not eligible for a social security number.  Illegal immigrants often use ITINs.
